Counselling is a process of talking about and working through your personal problems with a counsellor.
Counselling provides confidential support and lasting help.
What is the purpose of a counsellor?
Counselling is the process that occurs when a client and a counsellor set aside time in order to explore difficulties which may include the stressful or emotional feelings of the client. This can enable the client to focus on feelings, experiences or behaviour , with a goal to facilitate a positive change.
What are the costs?
Counselling sessions are typically 60 minutes.
Face to face counselling session fee is $60.
The first session is half price $30
Discounts are available to students, seniors and concession card holders.
How do I Pay?
You can Pay by cash or card at the commencement of your appointment. We accept payment by cash, eftpos , VISA and MasterCard. Clients will be invoiced for services rendered if they require.
Medical rebates are unavailable.
What happens if I can't make my session?
4 hours notice is required either by phone or email, and I the (counsellor) will gladly reschedule your appointment to a more convenient time. A cancellation fee of $25 will apply if you do not give 4 hours notice of cancelling your session. A cancellation policy has been established to ensure that we can provide services in a timely manner to all clients. We will provide you with a tax invoice for this payment. However, we do have tolerance in our service for emergencies. If we are able to rebook your appointment with another client then no cancellation fee will be charged.
How many sessions can I have with my counsellor?
Normal amount of sessions are between 4 -10. You are not limited in the number of sessions you can have with your counsellor. You may use the service extensively during a time of great need and then use it sparsely at other times.
Where do I go to provide feedback or make a complaint, and what happens?
We are always open to heaving your feedback.
If at any time you have concerns about the service you are receiving, please feel free to discuss them with your counsellor, we will investigate it and try to resolve your issue.
We take all your feedback and complaints seriously.
How secure is the information I share with you?
We protect the information you give us. We have strict security and encryption for any information we collect. The information you give is confidential, it won't be share it with anybody without your agreement unless you or someone else are in danger. In times like this we have a responsibility to protect you from harm.
